Where to Find The Best Skillet Recipes

Skillet recipes! Skillet recipes!! Skillet recipes!!! Everyone is looking everywhere for skillet recipes. We all want to make those cool meals that will turn everyone into Oliver Twist who always asks for more; we all want to feel the shrill and thrill of being applauded by family and friends for making a meal that they probably have not tasted anywhere before.

That may not even be the case for some of us. The thing is, we are tired of all those boring old skillet recipes, we want something new and fresh, something uncommon, something not a lot of people out there know; maybe something only master chefs and cooks in top restaurants know. So we end up daily online, looking for the best skillet recipes or maybe I should say 'The newest skillet recipes'.

So where can you find those skillet recipes? As a matter of fact, you know these recipes can be found online, at least, that's the place where information lives these days. While there are TV shows such as 'License to Grill', we may not be able to settle for that alone. However, most sites online have shallow skillet recipes; most of the time, they are the same recipes that we know that are on these sites. We always need a site that is frequently updated with the latest skillet recipes around. So I decided to shop around online to see if I can gather a few of them.

Go Presto Skillet Recipes - If you are using a Presto electric skillet, then one of the places to find the best skillet recipes is the Presto official site. You will find recipes for Barbecues, Beef Stroganoff, Chicken Chow Mein, Chicken-Vegetable Pitas, English Brown Stew, Fried Chicken, Oriental Hamburger Casserole, Roasts from beef or pork, Roast Chicken, Sesame-Ginger Vegetables, Sweet and Sour Pork and more. These recipes are frequently being updated and you are likely going to have a lot to handle before you exhaust all the recipes on this site and by the time you are done, there will be new skillet recipes for you to deal with.

The FoodNetwork - The Food Network is also another site I run to when I run short of healthy and really amazing skillet recipes. They have hundreds of skillet recipes to keep you busy for a whole year round. These are not common recipes. You will be amazed at them. They are uncommon and yet they are very easy to carry out. These are not impossible recipes that will mess you up after spending hours to actualize it. These are recipes that are just going to reveal your expertise. You can check out this site to see some of the recipes on board.

Cooks.com - Now I respect this site a lot because of the number of skillet recipes on the site. If you are able to manage through the first two websites and you are still hungry for more recipes, I bet you will be stuck in cooks.com. There are maybe thousands of skillet recipes for every occasion and every need. Whether you want to eat healthy (which I advise) or you want to eat all the fries in the world, you will find it all on this site.

Skillet Recipe Books - One other place to get skillet recipes is in books. As a matter of fact, most recipes are written in books before they get online. So if you want to be par to of the people who will first show-off the newest recipes in town, then you must make skillet recipe books your friend. You will find tons of such books on Amazon. You can click here to see tons of skillet recipe books on Amazon.

The recipes on the sites and books can be prepared on Presto electric skillets and they can also be carried out on most skillet brands around so you might not really need to change your present skillet if its okay. I hope you got served. Happy cooking!

Presto Electric Skillet Recipe - Mexican Style Chili and Baked Meat Manicotti

Do you love to cook with electric skillets? If you do, you will always be out looking for new electric skillet recipes. When it boils down to making spicy food, the Mexican Style Chili is one that is second to none. It is very, very palatable and it is a way nice way to show your expertise to friends and family members. Just like this spicy recipe, the Baked Meat Manicotti too is very delectable. With your Presto 11 electric skillet, you can serve this super Mexican Style Chili to your family.

So let’s get down to business, what do you need? You are going to need the following ingredients to work the miracle of the Mexican Style Chili now:

  • Three garlic cloves and three minced garlic cloves
  • ·         14 ounce dry kidney beans
  • ·         1/4th of pound salt pork,
  • ·         2 large onions chopped in large portions
  • ·         1 pound lean beef,
  • ·         1 pound lean pork,
  • ·         2 teaspoonful salt will be needed
  • ·         3 tablespoon chili powder
  • ·         1/4th teaspoon of pepper
  • ·         ½ teaspoon dried leaf oregano
  • ·         Pinch of cumin tomato juice

With all the above set in place, you are set to get the job done. Here is the procedure.
First, wash up the beans. Have them soaked in about 6 cups of cold water overnight. Some beans have package directions. You can follow the directions too. After this, drain up the water. The next thing is to cook the salted pork in your presto electric skillet or Dutch oven until it has turned to very crispy in form. After this is achieved, you will want to add up garlic and onions. Cook and stir the mixture until it becomes limp.

After this, add pork bits and the beef and cook gently until it turns brown. You will need to keep stirring to achieve best results. After this, mix in all the remaining ingredients safe the tomato juice only. Cover the mixture up and allow simmering for a while just for the meat and the beans to become very tender. After this, you can add the tomato juice bit by bit. Do not forget that the chili should be moist but not wet. It should remain moist by the time the cooking is finished too. Taste periodically and adjust the seasoning if there be need for such.

For me, I like my chili in a large buffet sized electric skillet. You can check some large sized presto electric skillets online.

For the Baked Mean Manicotti recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

  • ·         Four ounce of mozzarella cheese. Cut it in very small cubes
  • ·         1/4th of finely chopped green pepper
  • ·         3/4th lb of ground beef
  • ·         1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • ·         1 ½ lb of spinach, that’s about 250 grams
  • ·         8 manicotti shells
  • ·         1 ½ cup of water
  • ·         5 ½ ounce of can tomato paste
  • ·         28 ounce of can tomatoes
  • ·         2 garlic cloves or 2 minced cloves
  • ·         1 large onion
  • ·         One tablespoon of olive oil
  • ·         One egg, lightly beaten
  • ·         1/4th of cup grated parmesan cheese

With the above ingredients in place, you can set out. First, heat one tablespoon of olive oil in your presto 11 electric skillet or any medium saucepan you have. After this, add the onion and the garlic. Cook them mildly for about 5 minutes for the flavor to start rising. Keep stirring all through. After this, add tomatoes, the tomato paste, the spaghetti sauce and the mix them all together with water. Do not forget that you will have to break any large piece of tomato. Make sure it boils. Afterwards, turn down the heat, cover the skillet and allow it to simmer for about 20 minutes.

After this, you will have to cook the manicotti shells by boiling them in salted water for about 7 minutes. Drain it. Remove the stems from the spinach and get the leaves washed. Add just about enough water to make 2 cups. After this, heat one tablespoon of oil in your presto electric skillet or any other electric skillet you have. Add the ground beef and the green pepper. Get them friend until the meat is browned up. Continue to stir. After this, remove the heat. Drain excess fat from it and have it cooled. After this, you can toss the meat, the cheese cubes, the chopped spinach and egg together while you mix them all up with a fork.

Heat the oven to about 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Get a baking dish of dimensions 30.5x20.5x5-cm ready. Put about 3/4th of the tomato into the baking dish and lay the stuffed manicotti in the sauce. Pour the remaining sauce over the mixture. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese over. Finally, cook it all in the water with the spinach clinging to each leave until it wilts. You can afterwards drain and chop the finely made kitchen shears. Bake this for about 30 minutes till it becomes hot.
